The contract with Switch Lighting was put on hold due to a few issues. Our board president sourced alternative suppliers direct from China (where almost all LED bulbs are from) and we are currently testing product. For instance: a $46 LED tube from Switch could be bought direct from a supplier for $6 (multiply those savings by 100's), but they may not be constructed as well, perform the same, or be truly warranteed. Published specs are often inflated and Chinese companies often disappear or stall come warranty time - we need time to compare costs, lifespans, replacement service and more. There were also issues with the proposed energy savings in Switch's prospectus, as they were found to be erroneous. More news when we have it...
